Thank you both, I shall just have to keep checking, any ideas when they get updated or is there no set time?
There's no set time. I haven't had anything from ESA for 7-8 weeks, then suddenly had a glut of 3 in one week. For other people 3 is a famine.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -
With babies I would generally go by if the briefing notes don't specifically say to go alone then it's normally ok. However you need to be sensible about it. If you're going into a bank or a car showroom then there's a higher chance the baby will distract you. It's not fair if you miss something because your mind is on the baby.
Also, if a company says to go alone then they really mean alone and that includes babies!0 -
Am a total Mystery Shopping Newbie, but have just signed up with Gap Buster, after reading that it is often a good one to start off with.
I've got the email straight away with Shopper Number and Password, but I can't get to Login. When I load the page to login, under where it says 'Welcome Shoppers', there is a red box stating "Cookie is disabled in your Internet browser. Please enable cookie in your Internet browser."
I've gone to my Internet Options, and changed the Cookies setting to "Accept all Cookies" under the privacy tab. But this still doesn't seem to be enough.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do!!
I get this with Gap and IE - I can however open with Firefox on my computer. I've looked at all my privacy settings too and can't see what's the matter with them. I guess logging in now adds to the problems with Gap!!!0 -
but what is the situation when it comes to doing Mystery Shopping jobs with a baby in tow!?!?
Some briefs say you must go alone or no children/babies are allowed.
Other times companies don't mind, but as a mother I've found I can do a much better job without children than when they are with me. You can't focus 100% on a job if you have children with you, especially if they wake in the middle or get grumpy or need a wee and so on. It's much easier for you if you can leave them behind.
Sometimes children are essential though. We did a family meal on Friday and I had to take under 12's to eat off the children's menu, and we all had a lovely meal out  Doing some clothing stores next week and have to visit the male changing rooms, so my eldest son is coming with me to do that as he's tall and fits into mens clothing now. Here I go again on my own....0 -
You mentioned you signed up with Gapbuster, their main job is no kids allowed...0

Just a quickie. Are we allowed to give out fake phone numbers when doing phone shops? Did 2 for GFK yesterday. I've had numerous calls off both asking me if I want to take out the contract and what not. Actually picked one up and she kept offering me extras for free, I felt like saying "I was only doing a mystery shop, stop hassling me", but didn't. Eeeek.
PS. Just read the brief for the stamp job in a supermarket. Won't it be obvious that I'm the mysterious shopper when I ask the question about the beverage. LOL.0 -

Also, a more general question - and appologies if it's been discussed or asked already somewhere on here, but there is soooo much to read through and I've made it through lots of it, but can't read every comment and couldn't find anything when I searched, but what is the situation when it comes to doing Mystery Shopping jobs with a baby in tow!?!? I'm on Maternity Leave at the moment, so have DS (4 months old) to look after during the day. Would this limit what I could do? Or should I just not mention it at all to the MS companies, and take him along anyway. He's very good (for now anyway, and touch wood that continues!), so never really causes any problems when we're out, and often sleeps when he's in the pushchair anyway.
Thanks
If you do a burger job, there is a chance that they will review the CCTV fotage if the shop questions any of the report so a baby would be a definite no no. Also I get the same problem on IE and use google chrome instead0 -

I change the last number when giving out my phone number otherwise as you have found out you get bombarded with calls. Tell them you have just been made redundant so can`t commit to anything at the moment!
Also some of the scenario`s make you feel obvious as a mystery shopper, you get used to it after a while and just carry on as if it is a genuine enquiry. You may get a floor show....can be amusing or annoying but hey! as long as you get paid who cares?:)0 -
maybe RE should spend less time phoning me and more time proofreading!0

OMG The SA was a real hunk.I had to stop my self when asked "Do you need any help?" I felt like saying "Thankyou god!!".... I couldn`t wait to try out the beds! Am sure I spluttered my way through the enquiry. As I left the store and said my goodbyes I was told "The pleasure was all mine"
If only....;)
Fantastic :T:rotfl::T
I got someone that would not shut up. Took him 13 minutes to write me a receipt for 2 pillowcases, he did not want anyone to leave the shop!
