Badly timed thank-you

Filed for bankruptcy this morning after years of struggle. Had advice from CCCS and CAB but I so wish I'd found this site months (maybe years) ago.
Was concerned about the OR interview (though the lady was very pleasant today) so did a search and found an old thread on here which has largely put my mind at rest.....then scanned the rest of the bankruptcy section of the forum. It's a great resource, I was very worried this morning and I need not have been because the reality was really quite painless. If I'd found you before I'd have known that and would have been sleeping better at night.

Well I am really glad you have found us now. I, like you did not find this site till after Bankruptcy. But have found it a wonderful informative site, with lovely people genuinely wishing to help. Ask any questions that come up, and the lovely folk here will help. Glad all went well this morning, and try not to fret everything will work out in time. Best thing I ever did (Next to Hubby and 2 fab kids!)
    Best wishes

    Thanks again all.

I had my appointment through this morning (July 27th 11.00am).

    Just another thought.

How do they approach your expenditure on the financial statement? Will they push me to justify and/or suggest that I could live on less? I've actually had two statements put together....the first with CCCS came up with me having a surplus of about £300 a month.

In the second, which was done with a lady from legal services at the CAB (and the one I used in the SOA), she suggested that my wife's DLA should effectively be discounted as it was awarded for the specific purpose of looking after her needs. She added a "Care Needs" amount to the expenditure column which was the complete amount (£289) cancelling out the supposed "surplus".

Do people think the OR will accept this.....I suppose it could vary from person to person maybe.
