I agree tooo, Since going back to doing a spending diary after Junes pay, I have found it really hard to spend money

, although on Tuesday I had a very big slip and filed a page in my little note book
But am now back on track and that's why I love my spending diary...... OH thinks I'm mad though ( but thats a whole other story :j )0 -
Quite frankly anything that stops me from spending my very hard earned dosh will be a god send to me. I id have a form of one, but must admit it went a tad potty!
Will definitely start new one tomorrow!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I got lazy with mine and have really noticed the difference, so I shall get back on track from tomorrow, great thread!Quit smoking 18/08/070

I just wanted to say what an inspiration the DFW site is. I'm not in debt myself but have been cutting back over the past 2 months to pay my 0% credit card off without having to access the savings.
I took on board the spending diary, not thinking it would really help. But it is the best thing I have ever done. :j It's really interesting and it really does make you think "do I really need that?"
So thanks guys, it's such a good idea that I will be continuing! :rotfl:

I agree too, I posted on here for the first time about a week ago and one of the suggestions was for me to start a diary of my spending. It does stop you buying the odd thing I wouldnt even remember normally, and if I dont spend anything I give myself a big smiley face
(bit like getting a gold star at school.....small things!!!) The only downside is if I have to spend something I get really irritated, i even begrudged buying my beloved cat some food the other night, but before you report me, she got a can of tuna from the cupboard so she was happy!! :rotfl: Debt Free Nerd 1700
