Property constitutes 75% of my assets, I have plenty of skin in the game. But surely even you must concede that some level of diversification is wise?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Sure. And thats a pretty good answer
But...
Surely, if it's such a good thing, as you tell us all day after day, why would you diversify to something else?
It's akin to me saying "well, I have a 50:50 chance of winning 100k here, so I'm going to diversify...instead, I shall take the 9:1 chance I'll win 20k. Afterall, they both cost the same".0 -

Less houses for sale, less houses to rent, gosh, you'd almost think there was a housing shortage......:D
fewer houses for sale, fewer houses for rent............much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Yes it is....:D
But seriously, you can't put all your eggs in one basket for life, that would be silly.But...

On a practical level, I couldn't put some of it into a BTL even if I wanted to, things such as company pension contributions, our company sharesave schemes, etc.
And everyone should maintain some level of diversification in case of emergency.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

NDG, you used to be everybodies thanking buddy, now your reverting to correcting people English.
Surely you can see your own sentence is not formed.
I don't believe in all this correction of spelling and grammer on a forum.

I think that's because people are gettng fed up of being on the market and no FTB....We're thinking of taking our flat off the market as there isn't much interest and renting it out instead...Wouldn't help if we dropped the price either as there is 3 others in 200 yards of us and one did drop their price but it's made no difference, apparently flats like ours aren't wanted at the moment...:(0 -
