Insurance Searched on Credit file

I have just checked my credit report and it states that i have 5 new alerts. these are all searches for insurance i did in May when my car insurance was up for renewal.

Does this affect my credit rating? i am trying so hard to improve my score as i am applying for a mortgage in a few months and i will be annoyed if these searches have an effect on my score.

    Quote searches do no harm.

    Only if they are full searches done for an actual application would it have an affect. If they did a full search you have to give them permission to do it.

    Are these showing as full searches?
