I'm struggling here too Woody...
Mozzer, I've dealt with Moorcroft on a few occasions and they're actually very easy to deal with considering they are a debt collection company, it sounds like your debt has been passed back to Barclays, if I was you i would call Moorcroft first quoting any ref numbers and then call Barclays if don't have any joy with Moorcroft.Debt @ January 2010 :: £5,500July 2011 £0.00Debt Free as of 1st July0 -

I've got 2 dyslexic sisters, a dyslexic best mate and used to have a dsylexic husband. I'm not dsylexic, I'm just lazy! Since I would rather be doing anything right now but my actual to-do list then I'm gonna hazard a translation...mozzerspurs wrote: »i got a letter from moorcroft say that there have takeing the debt i have with barclays bank i phone them up i payed thm 10 pound and sent up payment plan off 40 pound a month to be payed on the 28 off every month this morning i got a letter from them say in further to your recent correspondence i write to confirm we are no longer dealing on the above account please forward all futher queries and payments direct to our client i just ike to know went to do as i have lost the details of the loan with barclays bank or just wait to the there send me a letter or ring me up thankyou
I recieved a letter from Moorcroft saying they had taken over the debt I owed Barclays Bank. I phoned Moorcroft, paid them £10 and set up a repayment plan. I agreed to repay £40 on the 28th of each month.
This morning I received a letter from Moorcroft saying "further to your recent corresponsdance I write to confirm we are no longer dealing with the above account. Please forward all further queries and payments direct to our client."
I would like to know what to do as I have lost the details of the original loan with Barclays Bank. Should I just wait until they send me a letter or telephone me?I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.
