I’m thinking of buying an Ariston washing machine it’s the A1636 one. Or I might get the Hotpoint WF860p.
I don’t know which. Do anyone no if they are any good.
Is there a website which reviews these kinds of things put a search in yahoo but not much.
Thanks for any help

i think as with most things - you can get a good one or a bad one !
i have an ariston n i love the features on it - except the whole drum needed replacing after a year (luckily was covered on the warranty thingy)
my sis has a hotpoint and its always going wrong, but some people swear by them
from an experts point of view tho:
the blokes who came to fix my ariston said they very rarely go wrong
i asked what the worse ones were (how hellish are my conversation skills?) and they both said hotpoint !
one of them said that hotpoints mean lots of overtime for them so they love them!!!

Ariston and Hotpoint are owned by Indesit, while Zanussi, AEG and Tricity are owned by Electrolux. So there are maybe 3 major manufacturers using the same platforms and parts, they will then charge what they can get away with for the badge. It's all down to your preference for the badge.0

On our second Ariston washer, first one lasted 10 years and we only changed it because the casing was rusting around the door and looking tatty in our new kitchen. The machine itself was still running perfectly. Only thing it ever needed was a new pump, which I bought and fitted myself for about £30. We've had our current one for about 3 years now, no problems yet (touch wood!).He huihuinga taangata he pukenga whakaaro – A meeting of people; a wellspring of ideas (Maori proverb)0
