I cant seem to find a hobbies board ??
Knitting shops are getting scarce so I do buy wool online .
I google for my wool but some online shops the postage is diabolical .If Im paying £1.20 per ball for instance im not going to pay £1.95 postage per ball .I just wondered if anyone knows any online wool stores that charge resonable postage ??

there's probably every craft-hobby covered on here, but they seem to be in separate crafts.
I'm sure that somebody over there will be able to help you.0 -
Look on this forum to have chat with other knitters looks like a good forum http://www.knittingforums.org.uk/ .
As for the price of postage I found this at work when setting up a male order service for flour , the postage was more than the actual flour. Its just the way it is .
Also ive noticed some cheap knitting wool on ebay , some listings have like 6-7 balls with £2.99 postage so maybe look here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/500G-WHITE-ROBIN-BONNY-BABE-BABY-WOOL-DOUBLE-KNITTING-/230499331415?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Crafts_Knitting_Crochet_EH&hash=item35aad4ad57

Not sure about knitting websites as i have 2 wool shops within driving distance who have all i need. However, a while ago I went on the Sirdar website and subscribed to their newsletter. They have excellent sales and when the catalogue came it had very good wools and patterns in it. you don't pay per ball for postage just the whole garment amount so one cost for however many ball the garment requires and how many you purchase.
I have also bought wool from a wool mill direct which came in an old fashioned skein and was lovely to felt with.
Hope this helps.
