Rents and Housing Association

Is there a law against housing association harrasing you at work, it's got to the point where they call and ask work colleagues how much i bring home , how many hours i do, how long i've been there,

Like everything else that came off the recession last year, i have rent arrears and have been on benefits for the good part of a year, but landed myself a good job with good prospects, my other half stays at home and looks after the baby and children,

We are paying £40 a week on top of the rent to clear some of the debt, but they say it's not enough,

Is there a letter i could draft and send to the Housing Office, as i can't really let their behaviour put my job at risk.

Regards

This letter is for a different purpose so does needed editing, but is for debt collectors calling you at work - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=33792375&postcount=42

Basically, it is harassment, it is been done to put pressure on you to pay more by making you worry work colleges find out about your position. Your workplace has no right to tell them your pay, nor does the renting people have any right to ask for it nor reveal any information about you to them.

I would certainly lodge a formal complaint with them over it, and report their actions to the OFT.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
