I was a lurker for sometime and then, in January, I had my lighbulb moment and really started using this forum.
However, in true Kaz-style, I got so cocky about paying off my debt and I was dipping into my 'spare' overdraft ("it's ok, I'll pay this off as soon as I get paid, it's only £2.20 for a sandwich after all").
So today I have reassess my situation again after using my credit card (NO!) and my 'other' overdraft.
I was feeling quite ashamed of myself and annoyed at how silly I'd been but, being the relentless optimist, I have decided to focus on the positive.
Since my LBM I have reduced my debt by over £3k which I'm really proud of.
Also, even though I've messed up, I've only added 2 months to my debt-free date which, considering I've been in debt for 10 years, is pretty much a drop in the ocean. :rotfl:
Anyway, mostly, I wanted to say how reassuring I find MSE. This forum instantly soothes me with all the support, ideas and advice on offer- and all the inspirational stories.
I'm going to make sure I keep checking on this daily and as of payday, I'm back on with the spending diary and NSDs.
So...erm... really, this was to say a big thank you to all MSErs who have helped me and will continue to help me without ever knowing :-) I actually can't do it without you!

Hi Kaz,
Carry on with the debt repayment and keep your eyes firmly fixed on the debt free date!If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.
