Critical Illness Cover

I have a small critical illness policy.

And I'm guessing that it won't be allowed on my SOA - but could be paid from any surplus income (if there is any...).

I'm also guessing that if I went "critically ill" during my B/R that any money would have to go to the OR.

Would this be the case?

Hopefully with the stress of debts gone in B/R - I should stay in good health.
