Why was your jacket in the garden? Why pay full price when you may get it YS0
-
I was weeding the garden and took it off i never left the area so dont even know how it was taken!!!0
-
Why didnt you move the car somewhere else once you knew your car keys had been taken?0
-
Did not even realise it had been taken (jacket) until i looked for my car key when the police came then I realised what had happened! I know my jacket was gone before I went in the house as I would have seen it as I was going back in!0

only a thought
would you be covered on your household insurance, sometimes you have cover for items stolen from sheds, gardens or garages?Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -
yes these words are in section 25!! is that a bad thing? pease say no!!!!!!0

Without knowing the full details, it would seem that the OP had removed the keys from the vicinity of the car (possibly then going inside) but then inadvertently lost them.
That could happen with almost any set of keys - if you dropped them a thief could simply try pressing the zapper and see which car clunked.
It is certainly worth a complaint to MoreThan and, if necessary, the Financial Ombudsman Service.0 -
how do i get in touch with the FOS? NEVER MADE A CAR INSURANCE CLAIM and certainly don't know what to do in this situation! Is there any more advice????????????0

Because the jacket and keys were on my property will that not stand in my favour. I wasn't reckless and surely they should have been safe being on my property while Iwas with them. Still don't even know how it was taken!!!!0

Some information for debate and which may be helpful for the OP to read (These are predominantly about leaving the keys on or in the car but the Ombudsman will use a lot of the same arguements in a similar case)
