Is there anyway to find out which credit reference agency a lender uses?

I find this very baffling, I can't get a Vanquis card yet I can get an iPhone 4 at £500 as this proves,

I have checked my credit file and its average, I am not bankrupt and no CCJ's and am on the electoral role,

Some lenders have no issue, I have a £2K limit on a catalog for example. Yet others won't entertain me.

No definite way (although you could ask them in case they tell you)

Have you checked your file with all 3 credit agencies (not the score your actual report?)

Vanquis is a card that is available to people with poor credit scores, maybe if you have a good rating you were rejected on that basis.
