Anyone got any experience of Equitalk? They have an international call plan that says it's all international calls free for £19.99 per month. I call the US ALOT!! At least an hour each day as my partner is American and this could save me £100 a month....but it looks too good to be true..... Very interested to hear if anyone has any experience of this company.

before you leap, read about 1899

How many calls at 3p each would you have to make to spend £19.99?
Oh dear, can't type that. Suffice to say, it's more than 665.30 years, 217 days!0 -
I used to use Equitalk on CPS, until I discovered 18866 and 1899. I've got absolutely no complaints about Equitalk at all - reliable service, first class customer service, no billing mistakes or disputes - but 1899 and 18866 are cheaper.

Having heeded advice from those kind enough to offer it, i signed up with 1899.com. It took two minutes; my service was active almost immediately and it was the WEIRDEST experience calling my partner in the US and hearing an automatic response saying "This is a FREE call". It's absolutely true....just 3p for the connection and no more to pay. Quality was as good as any other. If you call the US, Canada or some other destinations, you;d be DAFT not to sign up to them.

I have been using Equitalk happily for over two years. Their bills are fully itemised, you can view them online or call them on 0800 161 3837. Their monthly charges sometimes look out of line with a couple of others but the difference is pennies.
To my bitter and costly regret I have flirted with two other providers in the meantime but always returned to Equitalk. Tiscali charged me for the 'free' month that they offered, can only be contacted on an 0870 number, and give an e-mail address (no postal address) on the bills but will not act on e-mails!0 -

I have the name and address of the billing manager. I'll look it out for you, but I don't think you'll get much joy from him. Tiscali seem to be desperate to take people's money.

I had my Equitalk bill come though for this month yesterday and it was for -11p, yes that's right minus eleven pence!!!
I had a £10 loyalty bonus !!!! i've only been a customer for 2 months so at the moment i think i'll stay very loyal to them.
My bills are always itemised and very very cheap compared to BT.
I've got no complaints about them at all.
Oh and plus if you sign up with then through greasy palm you get £7 !!0 -
