Credit Rating & Emigrating

I've decided that when I'm debt free that I may emigrate somewhere for a fresh start. What I want to know is, will my credit rating follow me? Most of my defaults were issued 2 years ago and I should be debt free in 2 years and would hope to move away in three years time. I know that defaults are deleted after 6 years, should I wait 4 years until my credit file is clear, or will it stay behind in the UK?

Canada, Germany, Uk all have agreements together for debt recovery via courts, however i believe each country has there own set of credit file companies so there is going to be no affect.

Credit files are managed by companies, so it matters if you goto a country with the same credit reference agency.

Such as experian are UK and US based. Moving to the US may well mean experian merge your files together.

Well Canada was top of my list then Australia or New Zealand. I want a fresh start and that means a clean slate so I guess it's probably best to stay in the UK until my credit file is clear. Oh that will be a glorious day indeed! :D
