We've had to write to the Trustees of the pension scheme that a deceased relative belonged to and as yet have not received a reply.
What is a reasonable time for a reply to be forthcoming? We don't necessarily want to phone them up as the matter is abit delicate and therefore prefer all communication to be in writing.

It can take up to 6 months for some. Especially if you havent given them much personal information to go on. i.e no national insurance number or payroll number.
Also, it may not be the trustees you need to write to with some schemes but the administrators. That could cause added delays.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I've finally managed to get hubby to write to the trustees (via the admininistrators of the Scheme) about the matter which helped me with earlier (I know I know!) with all details that we had so have included relevant Ni numbers.
Hopefully there won't be too much a further delay before we hear something (especially as previous correspondence seems to have been replied to by return of post) so I assume it must because of holidays etc.2014 Target;
