Decorating Wine Glasses

I would really like something for my wine glasses, i need about 100, ive looked at the charms but they are really expensive, i have seen at other weddings things that sort of hang off the top of the glasses, but i have no idea where u can get them from?

Can anyone give me a bit of advice, 10 weeks to go and LOTS to do! :eek:

hi hun,i used butterflys to hang off the wine glasses and doubled them up as place settings
i got 50 from ebay in pink already cut out all i did was write the guests names on them and everyone loved them
you can get lots of different designes

I made my own wine glass charms, dont know what the actual cost works out at, but MUCH cheaper than I would have been paying for them.

You could change the glasses instead of decorating them !! First thing people do is pour the wine so they will not last on the glasses very long anyway !

I was thinking about wine glasses as favours and to double up to use as place names and the welcome drink. I'm thinking of making something using the same beads I have in the flowergirls wands, and also getting printed ribbon (dont know how much this is) with our names and the date on to put round and securing little tags onto them which has their name and table on it. Just got to decided on interesting table names with our theme!

Slight thread hijack (but it's an oldish thread anyway ) but I cannot decide on wha to have for our table names. I definitely want names rather than numbers, and have been thinking of either wintery words to go with the January thing or words associated with candles/crystals to go with the theme. Or to go with something completely different! Can't decide!!!

Well now that my theme's out I'm gonna have to have something curling related, whether it be different terms to do with the sport, or places where we've curled together (that's not many yet!); or even just different things that mean things to us as a couple, no idea!
Went to one wedding where they had places, where they met, where they got their dog, where they bought a house, where they got engaged, etc etc

I've stolen the wine glass charm idea from Mrs Moore 2b, I've bought all the hoops, beads & charms on ebay and am making my pals come round one evening for a "surprise" activity evening with wine and chocolate and they will help me make them!
4nnabella-We're having cricketing terms for our table names as the OH loves cricket. He was really chuffed because it is something that is "him" at the wedding. is there anything your OH loves? Or an idea from a friends wedding-they lived in New Zealand for a while and they named all their tables after places over there. HTH x
