Attachment to earnings and a new DCA

Hi Guys
Hope someone can offer some advise please.
I had a debt to Landrover finance of £1800 recieved a CCJ and then an attachment to earnsing followed with £40 pm being removed at source and sent directly to Landrover Finance as per court instructions.
Last year the atttachment to earnings stopped and I assumed that the amount had been paid back hence why it stopped.
Yesterday I recieved a letter from a company called Link Financial Outsourcing LTD, asking me to contact them stating a credit application had been made from another address not the one I was currently at.
On speaking with them I have found out that they have not recieved any payments since February 2009 and that £600 is still owed.
Interestingly our payroll provider changed about the same time however I believe that they have made payment to Landrover finance previously.
Could someone please advice me wht I should do now and who's legal responsibility it is to ensure this is paid and whether Land Rover is able to sell the debt on.
Many thanks for your help

You'll need to contact your payroll department to find out why the payments ceased. You should also ask them to track back and find exactly how much was deducted from you and to confirm that the same figure has been paid over to Landrover.
How did you leave things with Link on the phone? Did you ask them to write to you with details of the debt, and a statement showing any balance?
