  • the thread got deleted. Not sure why.
  • I thought it was on the benefits board, but I can't find it either!

Has the whole thread been removed, do you think?

it was definitely on this board as its the only one i read

shame if he did get sacked, ive had a good look for it and cant find it
  • the man got sacked. He had a letter hand delivered to his home telling him.
The last time i read the thread he had been in touch with the union man and was appealing the dismissal on the grounds that the firm hadn't followed correct procedures and hadn't given him adequate time to read statements etc before the hearing. Then it disappeared.Maybe the union rep thought it may affect the case somehow.I hope everything worked out for the family.

  • I think your theory about the union suggesting the thread is removed is probably a good one! It could be dangerous to have the thread out in public where the employer could see a plan forming in advance

Just reminds me of the days when they would deport you for stealing a loaf of bread. I thought we had evolved as a country.

  • Wish we would get an email when its deleted because its irritating looking for 5 days for something. I really care what happens to people and a little email saying for bla bla bla reasons the matter got deleted.

    Doesnt take much surely.
