used Veet hair removal cream on my back last week for first time and had a load of spots break out, gone down now after a couple of days in the sun with top off, will this happen every time, or will my skin gradually get used to it?

I can't use it, even the sensitive skin one stings my legs and makes them spotty0

veet can do that, it does it to me and my sensitive skin, and also my otherhalves back and his skin is not sensitive. I now use the clippers with no guard on his back.0

How about waxing? In the hands of an experience therapist it can take only minutes and last for up to 6 weeks!0

When you say spots, do you mean like an itchy red rash? I get this sometimes if I use Veet on certain....areas and do not use a specialised moisturiser. The skin elsewhere on my body is quite tough and will tolerate the cream well (hell, even the hairs will too!) but under my arms or my bikini line and I have to make sure I use the Veet after care moisturiser stuff or I do end up with a red itchy rash. I got the cream from a pack of the bikini line removal cream and just had loads left over.0 -
cheers people
jennie, my back skin is pretty hardened from the sun (i know i know tut tut), but came out in a red kind of rash, but also a few really un-sightly white head 'zits' (was like being a teen all over again)
will look into the cream you mentioned, and see if i can find someone to try waxing me0 -

Hmmmm:think: your rash doesn't sound like mine- mine didn't have any white head in them, they were just itchy red raised spots. Sort of like ingrowing hairs only they weren't. It sounds more like a reaction to the cream- the white in the spots being some sort of infection or bodies reaction to the cream. Are you really sure you washed it all off? you really have to scrub at that stuff at the best of times!
I'd go see your doctor to check as they may be able to offer you something stronger- the cream I used was just a load of milder moisturisers, similar to using aloe and I doubt it would do anything to a reaction to the cream if thats what it is.0
