Capital on1 / Capquest

I am really quite angry and also a bit confused...
Originally I had a debt management company 'helping' me manage my accounts, then i woke up and realised they were scamming me out of over £80 per month!
Anyhow... I am now paying my debts off and alot more effectively then before.....
So i have run my own payments for 3 months now... and have paid capital one on the first month the minimum payment which was approx £150... then the last 2 months I have paid more then the minimum payment, plus the added interest, so £150 this month and £100 last month...
I have about £250 left on teh card and have met the last 3 months minimum payments plus some more...
#today i get a call from capquest saying m debt has been given to them from capital one... i was a twork and was quite angry and the man had no explanation as to why.. but he said I needed to pay £12.
I paid £30 in tuesday which is not showing up on their account yet plus £50 today.
I dont want to pay this capquest any money because i have already paid more off the balance then what is showing on their system... why is it when companies 'sell' their debt it is never an up to date balance!!!
So what do i do... i have a standing order to capital one going out very soon.... do i just keep paying capital one..or do i pay cap quest.. i dont want to pay double because i know i will never get the money back... plus I dont know why they passed the debt on in the first place as technically i am no longer bhind payments, i am actually in advance!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Hi izzo, First I'm not an expert so treat what I'm going to say with caution untill one of the more Knowledgeable members comes along. I have had my dealings with CrapQuest and won, thanks to Niddy.
1. You need to find out if CQ have bought the debt or are just servicing it.
2. If I were you, I would hold payments until I knew who to deal with.
3. Have a look on the unenforcability thread for the templates and letters you need.
4. Have CQ said that they have bought the debt. If so CCA them and request a full statement. This will freeze things and give you breathing space.
I have seen where people have been better off working out a full and final with a DCA rather than an origanal lender.
At least if none of the above help it will keep you bumped up on page 1.

I'm giving you another bump, lets keep this thread live until you get firm advice. Tomorrow if you are on Page 2 bump again. you could try asking at Niddy's new home if you don't get the advice soon enough here.Mother Nature Don't Draw Straight lines, We are Broken Moulds in Life's Grand Design, We look a Mess but we're doing fine,
