Some help please

How can I find out if a company offering work from home opportunities is legit or a scam, it is a job filling envelopes with leaflets or typing, they ask that you register with them and pay £30, this in itself makes me jumpy, I don't know if I am allowed to name the company on here, I will if it can enable someone to tell me if it is legit. Thanks in advance.

It's a scam.

If you have to pay them for work it's a scam.

Name the company, we'll ensure people get warned about it.

Anyone asking for a fee is likely to be scamming you. You work to earn money not pay it out, I don't know if any of the envelope-typing things exist.
Check out the other threads on here for some good info.

It's a scam.

Am guessing it's mailingortyping website since they seem to be popping up a lot at the moment.
Definate scam! Never send money upfront for any home work, no legitimate company will ask for this.

Thank you all, podperson you have hit the nail on the head, so to speak, mailingortyping is the name of the company, I will tell my daughter in law plus a few others who are thinking of joining up.
