I have just applied for a new loan with A&L (need an extra car)
smallish amount over 2 years
Applied online - got told to phone in for decision, and spent 15 minutes on the phone (national rate) telling the girl in the call centre that i did not want loan protection of any kind (I am a Financial Analyst, my husband is a Chartered Accountant - we're not stupid! we know thats where they make loads of dosh)
I am absolutly hopping mad with them for trying to ram this down my throat! I have phoned up their head office and complained!! and am waiting for a reply... the guy on the phone was really good, and empathical (making up words here)

The fact that I had enough Life Cover, CI cover and income protection to cover all my debts and more seemed to make no difference tot he person the other end of the phone. Very annoying I do concur.0
