  • Just phoned and got my free copy and memory stick.
He did wont all the info, i told him i saw it in the Sunday Times gave the code GIG55. He the checked as he thought it may have ended, but i was ok. Did tell me about the 11 copies for a pound deal, i said no, not a problem.
Just have to wait, he did say up to 28 days?
  • Just phoned 01444 475647 and asked them to transfer me to the number for the promotion which they did. Ordered the free copy and the memory stick should arrive soon hopefully, also took them up on the 12 extra copies for £1. The person i spoke to told me that I could cancel at any time the subscription with the economist and they would still send me the 12 copies but wouldn't send any more after. This was really useful as I'm the guy that always seems to forget to cancel no matter how many alarms I put on to remind me :P
Will Phone up to cancel as soon as I receive the memory stick.

ps: They never even asked me for the code i just said i saw it in the Sunday times, if they did ask me I would have said GIG55

Phoned for this on Wed., received Friday.
Mind you, they were a bit snippy when I said I only wanted the freebie.
  • Got Economist this morning, but no free USB memory stick. Does/Can that come seperately?
Hi, I've already asked and been granted for permission via PM for a Help for Heroes link. Pfft.

As my previous signature said, I support Help for Heroes

Email them and let them know. I did and received one a few weeks later. From what I've read it should come with the mag

Got free magazine and "1GB" memory stick

But the stick is fake. Copy data to it. Turn off computer. Turn back on. Compare stick data to original.

The memory size is faked. Just like crap on ebay.

Bought the Economist deal last autumn- a neighbour really enjoyed it!! (it was a bit dry for me) but I never received the memory stick even after contacting them a couple of times. If you like the Economist it was a great deal- forget the freebies though!
