WH Smith gift card accepted in other stores?

Hi all

Does anyone know if any other stores accept a WH Smith gift card? I was given one for my birthday and was surprised to find that you can't use it on their website!

thanks

Being as its a W H Smiths gift card you can only use it in W H Smiths.

WHSmith Gift Cards can be bought and redeemed in all of our High Street Stores nationwide. You can load any amount up to £1000 on to your card at any till in store. They can be used as full or part-payment. Any balance will remain on your card to use the next time you visit (any balance not used within 24 months will be deducted). Check your balance here.

I don't know what the terms and conditions of the card are (they should be on the back) but you may be able to use it to buy a Gift card in WH Smith for another store. They probably will exclude this in the conditions but I there are a couple of stores that don't so its worth reading them to check.

Several stores accept vouchers from other stores so I thught there might be something similar possible here.

Can we get an unhelpful button added to the forums?

Yes several stores do accept vouchers from their groups but W H Smith dont which is why I added the t&c's from their website ?

Sorry you felt you had to be sarcastic by asking for an unhelpful button. On that subject could we have a 'pointless thread' button aswell for people that cant be bothered looking at the t&c's on a website and would rather ask people on here.

My local tesco regularly accept sainsburys vouchers, this is not be found in the Sainsburys T&Cs.

I already read the WHSmith T&Cs but they were never going to tell me if Tesco or anyone else were likely to accept a WH Smith gift card were they. I simply thought other shoppers might have had some experience of this. Isn't the point of this forum to ask questions? Thanks anyway

Tesco accept other supermarkets vouchers (well only sometimes, my local one refuses). As far as I know they dont accept any other type of shops vouchers? ie Stationers etc
Just a thought, could you not save it and give it to someone for xmas? Could be one less present to buy.
