freezing interest rates on credit cards

I am presently on a DMP and half way through. I have just had a yearly review and the counsellor says that they write letters to the credit companies requesting if they could freeze the interest but they do not take any notice. Is there a template letter that I could use so I could try. It seems so stupid when they already know that i am on a strict budget I was hoping to be free of debt by February 2012 but if the interest carries on it will be longer. Grateful for your help. :o

    Hi Lynnpage,

If you go onto the Consumer Credit Counselling Website there may be something you can use. However, if there isn't someone with more knowledge than me should give you an answer soon.
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

    Hi

National debtline has an offer that should suit (may need to adapt slightly), its basically please reconsider freezing interest.

(5th letter in drop down list).

Have some agreed to freeze interest and others refused? if so then when you write to the ones that won't point out that other creditors have agreed to.
