Sorry Chev, posted before I saw your message ...
For a long time I haven't gone out there, but I reached a point where I wanted to, has taken a long time ;) It is nerve racking, not kn owing if they'll turn up / whether they look anything like their picture / whether you'll have anything to talk about etc ... but its also a bit exciting too :) and its just nice meeting new people. Sometimes people just live talking to the same people day in day out and so its nice to broaden the circle a bit :)

The tesco thing has been capped slightly, at the beginning it was unlimited and people were claiming hundreds (before I saw the deal so not me). Now you can claim up to £100 per month and each receipt is a maximum of £20 claim. Its still a fab amount of basically free or very cheap shopping each month though :T :T

Absolutely good for you getting out there again - and yes it is nerve wracking isn't it! But it is good for the confidence - and also you will have been good for the other guy's confidence too, even if you don't see him again....he has also made a step in getting himself back out there too and to deal with his own "stuff".

And hurrah for being able to text a true mate on the way home :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and happy mothers day x

Thank you Hypno :) Its true, I can see a huge leap forward for me, it wasn't that long ago I hated the idea of going on a date, now I enjoy that I am choosing to go and wanting to meet people again :)

Happy Mothers Day to all of you, especially those of you doing the job on your own, we're bloody marvellous :T :T

Have replied ... said I enjoyed it too, didn't feel that initial spark but had a lovely time and am happy to meet again as mates?
Now I feel horrible, he was a nice bloke, just not my type :o:o I just feel bad cos he's obviously very new to the dating scene after 10 years in a relationship and I don't want to hurt his confidence :o Oh why does this dating stuff have to be so complicated??

Glad to hear the date went well and you had a nice time. I know how you feel its difficult to get back onto the dating scene. I have not been out with anyone for over a year, cant be bothered but must try and make an effort.

Buffy it feels odd tbh ... I'm not upset or bothered, she's more than welcome to him, but there is a bit of me that feels strange about it, almost like that should have been me?? And a bit of me that feels I hate the fact that he's that happy in a relationship when I don't feel he deserves to be. Just gotta keep believing that karma will have its day in August ;):)

Ds also told me this afternoon that they dind't do anything today as daddy drank too much beer last night and spent this morning being sick and then the g/f drove ds home and daddy slept the whole way in the car  I sooooo wish I didn't have to send him there :o:o

Anyway, we've been out to the forest for a nice walk with mum and dad and then stopped off for afternoon tea at a tea-rooms which was lovely :)
