And if a lazy day is what you need, then just take it! You can do your brainstorming in bed getting ready for April, just as well as you can if you are up and about!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. The sun has gone in here - very cloudy. Still ok, but not as nice as the rest of the week has been.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Finally got up, have cleaned the bathroom, put the washing machine on, tidied stuff vaguely back to its correct place, hoovered and am now crashed on the sofa
I've been mooching on several boards that I haven't visited for a long time and todays plan is to get back on board the dfw wagon. I mean, I know I do pretty well moneywise, but there are so many bits I need to keep a closer check on that I have let slip, so today I want to get a plan sorted and start monitoring it, things like comparing my electric provider, seeing if I should switch my broadband / isa / insurance etc ...
I also want to start writing a daily list of dfw things I've done, similar to the one on the dfw board and the mfw board. I seem to have settled into a routine of making money from the odd mb / games offers and not much else, I haven't done any mystery shopping this year at all, ebaying is another area that needs tackling again. As I have most of April off of work it seems like a good time to get myself sorted, so todays plan is to assess the budgets for where we are now, then write a nice long list of tasks to be tackled over the next month or so Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000 Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

I too have let the old things slip a bit - and need to get that balance between doing things that are common sense, eg comparing utilities, insurance etc, using quidco......and those things that I really don't want to be doing again unless I have to, like surveys, mystery shopping etc.
Some things have stuck, of course, which is great, but others maybe need a little bit of a revisit, as you say!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Go for it - I will look forward to your list:D
I'm just the same though, have got a bit lax with it all. Do you do Onepoll surveys? I'm doing ok there - up to £17 and claimed my £40 about 5 weeks ago so not too bad for minimal effort;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0

So the list is coming along nicely, its taking a while as my money seems to be here, there and everywhere at the moment, i still need to simplify my recordkeeping
Moneywise it seems as though I have (a) overspent quite a bit this month and (b) lost track of what should be where .... so after much faffing I think I have it under control again. I need to get a proper system set up for tracking what money is where, another thing to add to the list
So, the list so far looks like this:
 · check broadband
 · Sort electricity
 · Compare isa’s
 · Compare child trust fund
 · Check mb accounts
 · Pay afterschool club
 · Sort pension
 · Sort life assurance
 · Sort will
 · Revisit Ebay/paypal account
 · March banking
 · Chase friend for take that ticket money
 · Cancel swimming lessons
 · Check when renewals are due: car ins, contents ins,
 · Dialaphone cashback in April
 - Set up schedule for money tasks each month
- work out monthly amount to find to clear mortgage by 40th birthday
- investigate child pensions
- investigate tescos credit card

So, postive dfw things done today ...- all surveys done from my inbox
- end of month banking sorted
- washing pile cleared and dried in the sun
- mortice lock fixed after much huffing and puffing instead of calling out the locksmith :j
- nectar card details updated
- co-op card chased up, points coming in June
- money transferred back from several mb aco!!!!s into my main bank account

Overall a good day though, have rested lots and feel slightly more human tonight after my bath. We have mums dog here for a sleepover tonight, and ds went to bed at 6.50 just because the dog is sleeping in his room too :j :j I think the dog might be staying over more often
