Im totally confused...
I have recently been checking my credit report with Experian but just checked the Equifax version to find a default on there which doesn't show on the Experian report??? Shouldn't the two be exactly the same? anyone have any advice on what i should now?!!!
Do i assume that potential creditors refer to both reports or just one?!
Why can nothing ever be simple!!!
I must say I its an absolute cheek to ask for £7.99 and £5.95 to view each report, paying for the priviledge of viewing the doom!
Please can anyone help?
Thanks L

£23,000 debt cleared June 2010. Opted for Payplan DMP 2005, took matters into my own hands 2008 in order to clear debt speedier. Yipee I got there! :j

All 3 credit agencies can hold different info so it is advisable to check all of them.2 angels in heaven :A0

I took Martin's advice and applied to Equifax online for my report - this one is allegedly the 'easiest'.
First of all it refused three times to accept my debit card details (my bank account is in credit I know!), then it said it was unable to provide the report unless I rang an 0844 number at a cost of 5p per minute. I rang the number and the operator mixed up two of mypersonal details (my name and my current address) - 1-2mins gone. Then she said I would need to verify information about credit agreements over the last 6yrs - no warning about this had been given in the message asking me to ring so it would take some time to obtain the details for her.
I asked how long the questions would take and she wasn't sure.
By now 5 minutes had gone by and eventually I managed to work out that I could fax information rather than sort it out on the phone.
Total phone call time 10mins. Now I know 50p isn't a vast sum, but saving money is our aim and I'm not sure that this experience qualifies for 'easy'.:mad:0 -
Ok, Im new to this and I cant seem to find where to start my own forum so I shall just continue on this one.
I have just tried to access my credit report online for £2 and after paying they then ask you to call them to answer a few further questions before they give you any information and they charge you 5p per minute and put you on hold for 10mins and I still havent got through!
Has anyone got through to them and have you actually had any success with viewing your £2 report?0
