Options
Folks :-
Five disposable cameras have accumulated recently, does anyone know where is the cheapest place to get the things developed?
Thanks

What size photo's do you want developed as the prices vary depending on the size.

  • If you don't mind waiting about a week to get them back, Truprint's mail order envelopes probably offer the best value, especially if you still use film cameras, because you get a free film. Surprisingly, recent postal price changes haven't sent their prices through the roof. You can also get up to 5 films scanned onto a CD for £2.99 at the time of processing. I've used them for years and got consistently good quality prints (though I once got prints about a quarter of an inch shorter than they should have been, which was annoying because they were fractionally too small for the mounts in which I planned to put some). You can pick their envelopes up at places like major train stations, or e-mail them to order some, or print out their order form here and send it with your films/ disposable cameras.
If you don't want to use a mail order lab, I think Klick are pretty cheap. I'd avoid Tesco, because they seem to be using some sort of semi-digital machine which gives digital-looking prints from film, but I'm probably a bit pickier than most.
  • Don't know much about the services available but is there a way to just scan film onto CD cheaply (without buying prints)? If you can do this then there is a great thread on here with free/special digital print offer. In the last 6 days I have got 240 digital prints for £2.49 inc. delivery AND £3.50 cashback from quidco!
They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!
  • Thanks for the replies.
These are disposable cameras so the quality of the photo's won't justify more than 6x4's. If they could be transferred onto CD without prints cheaply then the free offers could be used - however I'm not aware of such a service.
    Thanks again
