First time buyer with bad credit

Hi, im looking for advise on mortgage's for people with poor credit history.
Afew years ago, i got myself in financial trouble setting up a business, although I have never had a IVA or CCJ, I have defalted on most my debts.
I have been repaying these dates through the CCCS on a debt management plan. Which will be completly cleared in March next year.

I am looking to buy a house with my partner in September next year. Money will not be an issue, but will applying for a mortgage?

Has anyone else has similar situation in the past and how did they find getting hold of a mortgage? I have done a credit score today which has come back with no problems but my credit report shows alot of defalts. Will these be overlooked once all payed off and settled?

Your views will be appreciated.

Thanks

Some lenders will ignore the defaults once 12 months have passed from the settlement date.

You say money will not be an issue so if that means you can get 25%+ deposit then there may be a lender that can help once your debt management plan has finished.

Please read the mortgage adviser code on this forum. No company names in user names. No links to websites.

This code was thrashed out sometime ago with much debate on both sides, but it has been working so please take this in the spirit it is given. Change your user name and remove links. I note this advice was pointed out to you earlier.

    Regards

I must be reading the wrong post. If you look at the post it says:

Mortgage Advisers' Profiles. Mortgage Brokers may have the name of their business and a single link to their website in their profiles

This is all I have. I completely agree with the touting for business rules and this is why I would only ever offer opinion and not specifically invite people to contact me.

I understand perfectly that everything should be done within the spirit of the site and so I'll check what is best to change things to with the powers that be to avoid any other advisers wanting to pull me up on this

    Hi JamJar

The way that was interpreted was that you can have a link to your website WITHIN your profile but not as a username. There are some good advisers here and as far as I am concerned the more the merrier as we all learn from each other, but they do not use company names as usernames and may have a link to there own website from within their profile only. Hope this helps.
