Have a look through this thread on Hot Uk Deals. The consensus on there is that it isn't a real Hitachi but a rebadged model specially for The Home Retail Group which Argos is part of. In addition the tv gets very mixed reviews.

The LG is currently out of stock at Argos. However it is available at Richer Sounds for £350 or £385 with a 5 year guarantee. These are store pick ups only but might be worth a look if you have a branch near you.
