What is the best way to stop the build up of plaque on teeth ? i clean my teeth twice a day and i still get a build up of plaque on them . Is there a special type of brush that you can get to clean your teeth to stop a build up of plaque

I found the best toothbrush in the world for me (for getting rid of the massive amount of plaque I seem to generate daily) is an Ionic toothbrush. They're sold in health stores or on Ebay, or even Amazon sell them - search online for mor info.
These feel just like normal toothbrushes to use (and are not electric or expensive to buy), but clean your teeth like nothing I have tried before (including the best electric toothbrushes). And they are very MSE as well, mine only cost around £12.00

I normally recommend a regular rechargable electric toothbrush, floss, a decent toothpaste with fluoride in (something like colgate total is fine). If you are missing bits then you could try disclosing tablets to identify missed areas. Bear in mind it takes approx 20 seconds for plaque to start forming

Take your toothbrush and floss with you next time you visit the hygienist and ask them to show you most effective way of brushing. Very few people brush properly and even fewer floss correctly. You don't need anything fancy (just a small headed toothbrush and floss or interdental brushes) but you do need to use it right and guaranteed you will not get plaque/ tartar build up.
If you have issues such as arthritis again ask the hygienist for suggestions for help.
If you don't see a hygienist .... Invest in a visit.0
