Need some advice on job application issues

Hi guys. I've been working with vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour for 2 years and recently handed in my resignation due to, for want of a better set of words, my own personal work ethics.

The situation, without going into too much detail, was that i felt the service was run far too institutionalised and that the service users rights where not forefront of the homes agenda. I did what i could to change opinion on this for the time i was there but in the end decided that my own personal work ethic on how things should be run, especially in a day and age of person centre planning and service users rights being honoured, conflicted with that of the service so handed in my resignation.

I am, however, now faced with a dilemma on what to put on application forms on reasons for leaving. Putting this across in an interview wouldn't be too difficult but I feel it may put of many potential employers if stated in an application form.

How can i word this on an application form for a valid reason for leaving that, if needed, would leave it open for discussion at interview stage without breaking confidentiality ?

"personal reasons" would seem to be an option. I can't really think of anything else to put.

Thanks for the reply.I thought about that too but it doesn't seem to sound right really :( I guess that might be my only option though.
