I was fascinated to read how prices in London and Scotland are forecast to rise over the coming months.
I took a look around here before posting it, but couldn't see such information anywhere......
Why, even PWC's normally bearish tone seems to be suggesting prices will not fall this year, and will actually rise in the future, with any "setbacks" to be more likely in "real terms", ie, when comparing house prices against the price of bananas and chocolate bars, rather than cash or wages.....;)
You forgot to add "in london and Scotland" in the title.0 -

Price predictions vary across the country, but surveyors in London and Scotland were still expecting prices to rise in the coming months.
i'm sure that you'll be along soon to claim that it wasn't what you said, what you've said has been twisted bla, bla, bla...Graham_Devon wrote: »those straws are really being clutched at now!0 -

From the article....
Yes, I know.
And with your description of this little sentence, and your title of your thread, making so much of this singular sentence in a large article we seem to have a new definition for the oxford dictionary.....needs to be filed under "Deseperate".0 -
here you go Mr Muddle
Ahh thanks Chucky.
So, if we ignore the overall RICS concensus, where they expect prices to fall and only take notice of a few surveyors who are part of their group expecting prices to rise in 2 locations of the country, and ignore the rest of the article..
We can therefore state that RICS, as an organisation expects prices to rise.
Now obviously we have to ignore all other RICS surveyors, and their overall majority concensus on house prices to do this. But that's fine right, cus I'm the one labelled as Mr Muddle....and you and Hamish are being clear as mud and not selective in your descriptions of what 2 surveyor groups said, right?
You could of course tell me I don't get it? That may be a valid option here.0 -

it was sayingPrice predictions vary across the country, but surveyors in London and Scotland were still expecting prices to rise in the coming months.
but feel free to spin and twist away and make it into something else trying to wreck the thread pretending yo udon't understand...
nothing else nothing more0 -
your chewbacca technique is good and common knowledge but it's not what Hamish or the thread was saying.
If that's not what Hamish is saying, I take it his title DOESN'T say "RICS predict Prices to Rise"?
Maybe I should have gone to specsavers....cus I'm pretty sure that Hamish is saying RICS expect prices to rise when he title'd the thread as such.
Maybe I don't understand though? Maybe he's actually saying something else, he just typed that, but actually, it means something else?
You are quite right chucks, i never get it, and am obviously trying to muddle things up here, claiming that Hamish said exactly what he said.
I am the master of spin it has to be said. I can even spin Hamish's title of "RICS predict prices to rise" into Hamish saying RICS are stating prices are gonna rise. Check me out, then bow down.0 -
London I'm a little surprised about because prices are already so high but Scotland makes perfect sense & is a fitting tribute to the famous Scottish resourcefulness, entrepeneurialism, thrift, and pwoperdee-loving culture.FACT.0
