olympus cameras

hi, im thinking of getting either an olympus sp 800uz, or a pen ep l1
as a step up from my point and shoot, has anyone any opinion on these two cameras

Brought a Olympus camera once. It developed a fault. Sent it back through the dealer for repair. Olympus wanted to charge me saying it was not covered under warranty.
I have spent 4 or 5 dslr camera since then.
Olympus's loss.

I've been thinking about an E-PL1 too. Olympus has a £75 cashback offer at the moment.

tesco has the epl1 at around £490 and the sp 800uz at around £ 260, which is the cheapest ive found without resorting to ebay etc, im just trying to eigh uo the pros and cons of each, thanks for your replies
