Experian/Equifax

What a rigmarole I am having !! I am a member of both experian and equifax and checked my credit report and scores on both online. I became a member of experian first and initially when I joined my score was in the very poor category as I had a default notice made in 2005/6 when I was going through my divorce. Anyway I owe no money anywhere, I settled the default notice, I have paid all bills etc on time for at least 2/3 yrs poss longer, had my ex husband removed from my financial associations with experian after sending in my divorce certificate and also sent in my letter of satisfaction to them etc and this year experian also removed default off file (I presume because of the time period). Anyway with experian my credit score is 999 out of 999 (classed as excellent). Now they said they share their information with equifax so I wouldnt need to contact them separately. However I go online to equifax and my score on there is 276 (very poor) so I checks the report and my default is on there and my ex husband still!!! Plus they have me down at still living at my old address (I havent been there over a year and am on the electoral role at this address) even though experian have my new one etc and to cut a long story short i am really peeved It took me months to sort everything out with experian Also because its from so long ago now and I thought it was sorted I no longer have the documents or anything (from 05) and I am hoping I dont have to go through it all again now with equifax
Can they not update their records from experian?
I have emailed both of them explaining the situation and awaiting reply as to what to do/whats going to happen
I am now left in the meantime with the peculiar situation that one lender is offering me platinum cards (as they use experian for their searches/checks) yet another lender wont even offer me a current bank account (they use equifax)   FUMING
P.S It is experians which is up to date and accurate!

Hi,
If you log onto equifax you should be able to find a dispute section. Enter all the above details and wait for them to get back to you. It can take a while (up to 30 days) before they get back to you, but hopefully that will be the start of you getting sorted out. Someone with more knowledge than me may also offer helpful advice.
Hopefully you get it resolved soonIf you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

experians 999 score doesnt acount for affordability (waste of money doesnt mean anything to my bank halifax)0

I have emailed equifaxs online help and they have amended my address already which has put my score up to 391 (fair - 400 is good) on its own. They still havent took my ex husband off yet as a financial associate but when they do (been divorced 7 yrs) it will go up again as he is bad credit and when they sort the default thing out (the date has expired its been over 6 yrs) it should go up even more so should then match experian who have already done all this where it is 999 - excellent. As for affordability this isnt a problem the bank said I have had a substantial amount of money passing through my account for last 4 years (lloyds tsb) so this isnt an issue.Never judge a book by its cover :beer:0

Hi
Just so you know all 3 credit references get their information individually. They do not share information between them or look at each others info.
So you are probably going to need to contact callcredit and do a similar process with them.
Personally I wouldn't keep paying money out to see your credit score. Just get your files in order and then try applying for whatever product you wanted.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
