Tesco loan advice
Advice please!!!
I've got a loan with Tesco which I've had for a year and never defaulted. The balance is approx £6.5K. I have two credit cards totaling £3k and I wanted to consolidate. I made an application to Tesco who agreed in principle to a higher loan of £10.5K (incl interest over 3 yrs). When I sent in my bank statements they refused the application, on the grounds that recent activity of my account was unsatisfactory. Unfortunately I had three unpaid DD's which the bank honoured and I got charged for!!!(not a usual practice for me) Any way on the scale of things I could easily afford the repayments of £290 p/m as currently I am paying £450.00 p/m to cover the loan and 2 cards.
My question is should I appeal and send my last 6 months bank statements showing no charges/issues? If I do and I'm refused will it damage my credit report? Or should I wait three months?
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
Lisa.
