Need to do something ASAP!

I'll try and keep this short..

My income has just been cut from over £200 a week to now just £30. this is temporary for around 6 weeks until a decision is made (tax credits).. I have no clue how i will manage now as i have all the regular bills and things i need to pay but have no money to pay with.

I have a loan payment of £170 due to come out by DD this thursday and have just called RBS to see what they can do (move payment to start of the month when i can make a payment?) and they have said theres nothing they can do for me. they gave me a number to call once the DD has bounced and said to contact citizens advice if im in debt.

Im trying to be pro-active here and avoid charges..

What can i do? Need to do something ASAP otherwise im screwed but it would appear that theres 'nothing' they can do anyway :(

    Ok

Ouch - that is why they will not halt the DD.

Tomorrow you need to sort out a new basic bank account with somweone not asscoaited with RBS in any way and get what little money you have moved there immediately, or they will use the right of off-set to take whart you have and then to take the tax credit money when it comes through.

The you need to see if you can get a crisis loan to tide you over, but make sure the money goes into the new account.

i have an old current account with HBOS i could easily use? thanks for the tip re crisis loan.. unreal that tax credits cut all money whilst making a decision, i have a disabled son and im sadly relying on his DLA at the end of the month to pay bills instead of using it for him. what a great summer hols :(
