Where, in your opinion, is the cheapest place to buy your fruit?

My nearest Morrisons has the best fruit that also lasts all week (no time to shop more than once a week) but that's a 15 mile drive so l use the local Co-Op (Somerfield) which is a good local alternative.

    Happy moneysaving all.

I find lidl cheapest... just look at their offers on fruit and veg, just can't be beaten I think:

My local greengrocers is good too - usually fruit is cheaper - for example a big punnet of strawberries was 99p in comparison to £1.99 (on offer) at Mr T and Mr S. Grapes were £1.79 for a big bag, big satsumas are 6 for £1 etc....

I also find that Aldi stuff goes off quickly - a bit of a false economy in my opinion.

I got 22 small greengage plums from my local market (Sheffield) the other day for £1!
I can't understand why people like Lidl or Aldi, most things (not just fruit and veg) are a hell of a lot more expensive than Asda!

I'd go with local market. I know ours has about 4 different fruit stalls in it so it's worth looking around at prices

Lidl, good quality and far cheaper than Tesco, Sainsbury or Co-Op
