I want to start to learn how to mix drinks at home and can anyone recommend me the places to stock my home bar?

You can probably find a cocktails and party drinks book in a charity shop.
Buy in some glasses, mixers, etc, and some peanuts and invite all your friends round, ask them to bring a half bottle of their favourite spirit, then have a cocktail party.
Those who don't read MSE will probably leave any leftover spirits behind, these you can use as base stock for your next party.
You should be able to get a loungeful of guests completely blotto for a personal expenditure of no more than £10.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
