Debt free distaster day

Do you ever get a day when you think the world is out to get you?
Or at least the debt free gremlins!
My day or should i say night started badly - have been following pigsback thread seems like theres some extra money to be made would go towards christmas at least. Any way I ahve been doing the comps and click throughs and got a grand total of 500points so far. Reading about the jackpot joy thing (can earn 2000 points for signing up and depositing a min of 10 pounds) Read some advice that said put in 11pound play a few 10p games and withdraw the 10 pounds once you've got the points)

Sounds simple - but theres this opening offer - if you don't click this box they credit double to your account but you have to wager 4 times that amount to get the 10 pounds pack out- I didn't read these instructions. Now my 10 pounds is locked in untill i play 80 pounds of games. Don't want to tell OH cos I've been giving him earache about spending on rubbish!

Next disaster - folowing tips on Old style - bout ingredients to make flapjacks for the kids instead if biscuits and home made pizza's. the only problem is i don't have any kitchen scales - so guessed the measures.

Flapjack would be fine if i could get it off the greeseproof paper - it's stuck like glue:eek: Pizza dough : unable to stretch it in any way shape or form - stuck it in a bread tin just to see if it would bake into some form of edible bread - NO CHANCE Its like the bread that killed the duck on the film "About a boy". - May be we could have duck a l'orange tomorrow!!!

Disaster three work are refusing to let me have my holiday entitlemnet.
Long story - but basically i've been on a course for a year that is full time with no hols. Due to go back to work later in sept and should have acrued 6 month of annual leave - work doesn't think so. So been arguing with them. Uni are supporting me but at the end of the day its my employer that has to honour the hols - think they migt be miffed cos i've got another job! But still entitled to hols and haven't put my notice in yet.

Anyway must stop moaning tomorrow might be better!:o

One more disaster - got an asda cc use it to do my grocery shopping. Try to do it online as it's cheaper and I don't pay for delivery. Website won't let me pay with it - it's paid up to date - they say they have a problem with thier system but they don't tell you untill you get to the on-line checkout so wasted an hour doind shopping and still will hav eto go to the store!!!
  • Just to make you feel a little better, these disaster days tend to happen to me quite often. Look on the bright side, tomorrow will (hopefully) be a helluva lot better.

We all have days like that I think. I was depressed for days this month as my debt actually went UP not down this month (a lot of unavoidable expenses set me back). Hope you feel more positive soon + good luck with your employer!

Can I have an argh! moment... I did the DVD rental tarting and had to use next day delivery to send my dvds back because I forgot to post the back before I travelled abroad for work. So £4.10 spent. Then I try to call and cancel and they've already posted new ones out to me and I will be past my deadline for the free trial by the time I get those and send them back.

AAAAARGH!!!!!!!! Another £12.99 down the drain! I'm going to make sure I watch 20 films before cancelling next month.

    pHEW! Thanks....

So they say I suppose i feel that I've been cutting back and trying to make thing s cheeper for a while but haven't seen ant benefit ie debts don't seem to be reducing much.
I'm hoping at the end of this month we can at least pay something substantial off one of the cards so maybe that will make me feel better.
At least my oh is kind of onboard now. Although he keeps trying to read the threads while i'm on and he is so slow - reading out everyones sigs etc.
You'd never know that he was once ok with technology - we met on the internet!!!
