House prices fall 0.1% as economists fear sharp downturn

    Our economy is not like china's (they are manufacturing we are service), so not really seeing what parallels you can draw TBH.
    the Chinese currency situation is something else to consider that makes it uncomparable

    The majority are not investors buying up several homes.

    Err. when did we introduce a stimulas to promote this like china?
    The Chinese government encouraged an unprecedented expansion in bank lending last year in response to the recession.

    Much of that lending went into infrastructure investment. But some of it also went into property speculation.

    We are a capitalist country, if you want to limit landlords (and that would include LA's) all you will do is make property more constrained.

    It sounds like they are trying to slow down building to avoid a crash so it sounds like china are behind us not ahead.
