Hey!
I'm a 21 year old and I'm self employed as a webmaster. I've never had a loan previously but I'm sure my credit score is wrecked since Natwest started charging me for some premium gold account a while back without me really realizing (racked up an OD of about £350) - thankfully it's all paid off now though.
Anyway, back to the present. I need a boost of around £500 within the next ten or so days and was wondering where I could get a loan with a reputable company?
I can easily pay it off next month I just need the money quick.
Thanks in advance.

Ben,
As a self employed young person you are going to find it tough - it isn't like you have a salary to use as security for the loan.
Only suggestion would be to approach your own bank for an overdraft extension or try and get a credit card and do an (expensive) cash advance or put all your spend on that so you can free up £500 for what you need.
Your credit rating shouldn't be impacted by an overdraft as long as you haven't breached your limit. The bigger things counting against you will be your age, lack of salary income etc.
If you think nat west charged you without your permission then complain and see if you can get some of your £350 in charges back.
Good luck

Crikey!! How much were they charging you for this Gold Account??
I've always wondered if anyone actually makes use of these "enhanced" banking facilities, I know I would have no use for them.0 -

I'll get on the phone to Santander right now and request an arranged overdraft, hopefully they'll be nice to me! Thank you!Crikey!! How much were they charging you for this Gold Account??

Well it started at about £6 a month and I think it rose to about £12.95!
And it was actually a pressure sale on the phone and I stupidly just said 'Yes...yes...uh huh' as I'm horrible on phones and usually just want to get off as quick as possible!
Alas I (for some reason) turned off statements in the mail and it was only when I got some urgent mail claiming I owe money and that I MUST PAY IT RIGHT NOW OR ELSEEEE! that I realised what had happened.
Ah well! It was a lesson for me!0
