Help please IVA/Bankruptcy

Hi, I plan on claiming my bank charges back and tried to open a Natwest step account I was declined on line and have just got home to find a letter from Nat West stating the reason why is because a Bankruptcy order was registered on our account.
Now I know you will tell me I really need to get a copy of my credit report but I don't have a debit or credit card so I can't get it online so will have to send off for it and wait a week to 10 days.
I or my OH have never been made bankrupt or declared bankruptcy or been served papers so we are really unsure as to why this is registered. Could it be the IVA we are on, surely that can't be registered as a bankruptcy order?
Any help or advice while we wait for our report would be appreciated.
thanks
Keza

The easiest way to check is to go to https://www.insolvency.gov.uk/eiir It will show any orders (it is updated each night from the Insolvency Service's system) and also your IVA.0

thank you so much, that has taken a load of my mind. I have just checked it and both our names only have IVA against it.
cheers

Hi Keza
I have a bankrupcy order registered on my credit record as I have a Trust Deed which is the Scottish equivalent to an IVA. The IVA/ Trust Deed seemingly come under the same regulations as bankrupcy to a certain extent, that is why it shows as bankrupt on your record.DFW Nerd no. 177
