I'm looking to buy a new laptop to generally surf the web and use facebook, etc.
Any recommendations as to which laptop would be suitable and which contract dongle I should look to get?

What sort of budget are you looking at for the laptop itself and then per month for the actual dongle?

You can pick up cheap netbooks or slightly more expensive laptops that will do a bit more for your cash.

It really depends on your budget though.

say £300 max for the laptop itself (preferably £200-250 something basic but reliable). £10-15 per month for the dongle.

Any suggestions?

Netbooks have a small screen, up to 12''. Laptop screens go from 14'' to 17'' usually. Netbooks tend to be more portable.

focus, the processor isn't particularly quick but for everyday surfing, looking at emails and watching the likes of You Tube and the BBC iplayer it's fine. If you do a lot of downloading at 160GB the hard drive is on the small side. Lenovo are a decent brand.
