Really Need Some Advice - Scotcall

Hi,
Got a letter in on Friday from a company called Scotcall who issued a Door Step Collection Notice...now I'm really panicking!
It has been passed to them from a company called Capquest who I have written to several times to offer to settle the account at a reduced amount. I have been in contact with them for months about it and I feel this step is so unfair and amounts to bullying.
What should I do? I normally correspond by letter to these kind of companys as I get too upset and angry when I speak to them on the phone.
And I know I will loose the plot if soeone turns up at my door...which I REALLY don't want to happen.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks x

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Thanks,
should I send this to both company's or just the Scotcall one?0 -
Just noted this is from English Law...I'm up in Scotland, is there anything from Scottish Law to the same effect?0
