Cheapest deals on the latest Xbox 360 S console

Although not exactly money saving - there are still deals to be had on the latest Xbox 360 games console for anyone looking to buy or upgrade.

If you are looking to buy (rather than upgrade) then you'd be wise to take a look at online stores: Argos and ShopTo. Their prices are listed below:

ShopTo.net - £184.99 (currently not taking anymore pre-orders, though do keep checking)

Argos.co.uk - £189.99 (price fixed until the end of this month)

If you are looking to upgrade there are trade-ins available through Gamestation, GAME and HMV.

GAME are offering £80 off an Xbox 360 S if you trade in an Xbox 360 Elite (online offer only - redeemed in-store after pre-order), HMV are rumoured to discount £90 off the new console if you trade in an Xbox 360 Elite, and Gamestation do price match depending on your local store. But these prices are dependant on if you have an Xbox 360 Elite - prices can drop considerably lower depending on what console you have. But do check around to see what deal you can get through price matching in stores.

An alternative option for upgrading is pre-ordering the console and selling your previous console on eBay - chances are you'll get a much better deal than the store giants will offer you.

For transfering over your save games and profiles, you can pick up a transfer cable on eBay for around £5, rather than the £15 price mark in stores.

No console wars discussion please.

I found a good deal today,

Very.co.uk are selling the console for £199.00 however, they currently have an offer on where new customers can use the code [Censored due to rsykes2000] for £25 of your first order over £60. This means you can get the new 250GB Xbox 360 for £174.

Coolcoffee - you'd best read the sticky at the top of the forum and delete the code from your post, codes should be posted in the voucher codes forum.

    Still not confirmed yet though

There's a post on HUKD saying it's showing as 'ranged' on the system, meaning it could be on offer.

Note to all. If you are trading in you will lose all your saved games memory.

Had to post this as i totally forgot about the save game files when i traded in my xbox for an elite. And dont want anyone else to feel as !!!!ed off as i was when i realised what i had done.

This is true but at GAME you can buy the new console, take it home, transfer the data over (data cable is £15 or you could use a USB pen/similar) then take your elite in, with the receipt for the 360 S, for £80 cashback.
