Honestly (and please don't take this the wrong way I don't mean too offend I'm just hearing alarm bells) you sound like you are banking on too many things that 'should' happen. My BIL does this all the time and has ended up with no end of problems because these 'shoulda, coulda, wouldas' never come to fruition.

Remember not only will you be paying rent, you'll also need to pay utilities, council tax, insurance etc. If you get in arrears with the council tax you'll end up in court, arrears with your landlord could get you evicted and utilities arrears could result in disconnection. Definitely start opening the mail, definitely get a budget sorted, definitely budget based on what you have coming in now not next Jan, Feb etc. It's not just about ensuring the money is there, you need to have a responsible and sensible attitude to it all or you will never get out of this rut.

I agree do too budget sheets.

Because if moving out means you have no spare money then you cannot pay back your debts, all that will happen is creditor will chase you ask for money. In the end you will only be paying back £1 a month each and your debt free date will be 100's years away. If you have no spare funds you cannot tackle your debts!

If you consider this, live at home, save £400 rent, save £100 council tax, save £50 utilities, save £20 insurance a month!. Given a year of proper saving you will have a lump sum to make partial settlement offers such as 30-50% to settle the debt in full and final.

If creditors take out CCJs against you, then you could have bailiffs to tend with if you do not keep up payments, which is why i insist you have funds available to tackle this. People end up like this not by choice, so i advise you think carefully before throwing yourself in to deep.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

Husband has just had his reveiw with his Debt Management company and has asked to add on the credit card which wasn't origionally included, they have said this is o.k.and they will add it on and contact the company, he has also spoken to them and told them of his DMP, so I am now just hoping that they will accept this :(
