What Sort Of Jobs Can I do On school Holidays?

I work as an IT Technician for a school but only work term time at the moment until a team member retires next summer.
Im trying slowly to do my MS qualifications but my way to learn is more hands on compard to reading the books.

I've had nearly 3 years experience in retail and about a year and half in IT.
Anyone have any idea's what could be a stable holiday job?.
I was thinking taxi driving but i dont want to be sat down in a car for 10 hours a day really. :rotfl:

Is there anything in a holiday camp or hotel that appeals? Children's holiday places such as PGL? Playschemes?

I'd imagine you''d have more earning potential working in your field of expertise rather doing something completely different. Could you do cover for companies with a small IT department or cover people that run self employed PC repair companies?

Many small businesses struggle in the summer holidays when staff with kids want time off, you could come in very useful to them.

There's not really anything like that around me unfortunately.

I did think about that, looking on CWJobs, Total jobs, Monster, Job centre and googling individually companies has turned up nothing i've applied for a few contracts jobs that havent hit off yet.

Unsure what else to do, the only thing i can think of is to advertise as a freelance worker on Facebook, Papers ect.

How about registering with a temp agency such as Reed and go temping that way you would be occupied and at the same time covering for someone who is on holiday in whichever business you are sent to.

Why not try and do a bit of self employed work, try and ask around friends and see if they need any pc work doing.

Typical student jobs I suppose. There used to be plenty of agricultural work going during the summer months when I was a student. Fruit picking, celery picking, that sort of thing. There's no easy way to find out if they need anyone, just ask around and see if anyone knows of places that need workers.

Do you have a Taxi licence? You can't just turn up and drive passengers. My brother is a self employed taxi driver and it usually gets quieter in the summer holidays because a lot of people are away. But you could try retail or probably bar or restaurant work as these places have to juggle staff around in the holidays as most people will want some time off if they've got kids.
    ML.

All my friends and family usually come to me anyway to do jobs, but i usually just do one off repairs for them, no one wants anything building with the current climate.
